Scharf Pera & Co., PLLC performs all of the above traditional assurance services. In these services, we report on our clients' financial statements with either an audit, review, or compilation report. We also report on specified agreed-upon procedures engagements.
Scharf Pera & Co., PLLC is registered with the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board. As such, we are are qualified to prepare and issue audit reports on U.S. public companies. We are inspected by the PCAOB at least once every three years. Additionally, we are members of the American Institue of Certified Public Accounts (AICPA). As such, we are subject to a peer review every three years and internal inspections annually.
Our staff and partners feel strongly committed to delivering much more to the client than just a report. We view assurance services as a unique opportunity to deliver value to our clients. While performing assurance services, we work very hard to understand our clients' businesses and their concerns. The question underlying every procedure we perform is, "How can we help them to do this better?" Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Bookkeeping
Many of our clients find it very convenient as well as cost-effective to hire us to keep and maintain their books. In fact, we have a number of clients who prefer that we be the sole keeper of their books; for these clients, we have experienced bookkeepers on staff who write their checks, make their deposits, and reconcile their bank accounts. Other clients may prefer to maintain their own check register and have us perform account reconciliations on a monthly or quarterly basis. We find that outsourcing all or parts of the bookkeeping function allows our clients to focus more intently on the profitability of their businesses.
